Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding:
Aspirin is classified as a Category D drug during pregnancy, indicating that there is evidence of risk to the fetus. It should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Aspirin is excreted in breast milk; therefore, caution should be exercised when administering to nursing mothers. It is advisable to consult a healthcare provider before using aspirin during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
